To begin with, the ZIBFS, formed in 1992, is an autonomous training Institute in banking, financial services and business-related courses. It operates using a robust IT infrastructure, including an advanced Student Management System which enables members of the Institute to access a number of services online, such as online membership and examination registration, online access of examination results, online payments, online discussion forums, etc.
The Institute offers a number of industry-relevant programmes including the Certificate and Diploma in Banking & Finance, Certified Credit Professional Programme, Professional and Advanced Professional Diploma in Banking & Financial Services, and Post Graduate Certificates in Retail Banking and Risk Management. Enrolment on these programmes is conducted through the year. You are encouraged to enrol on these practical and industry relevant programmes. Technical and skills training is also offered in various topics including, but not limited to Anti-Money Laundering, Basel III, Internal Audit & Controls, Credit Appraisal & Credit Management, Management & Supervisory Skills, Cashiers & Teller training, etc.
You are encouraged to download brochures from the downloads section of this website to get more information on the courses and programmes offered by the Institute.
The Institute is also an accredited examination centre for the ACI-Financial Markets Association Examinations. All registration for ACI Examinations takes place via the ACI FMA main website. You can find the ACI website by clicking HERE. From this site, you can choose which country you would like to take the exam in. You will then receive a confirmation email. Within 48 hours, you will receive your invoice and registration confirmation. Otherwise please contact education@acifma.com. More information on the ACI examinations can be obtained from the ZIBFS Secretariat.
Further, the Institute is also engaged in a number of activities to enhance information sharing in the financial sector. These annual events include the Graduation Ceremony, the Annual Ball & Awards Gala, the Banking & Finance Conference, the Bankers Annual Quiz, the Bankers Sports Day, the Annual General Meeting, various Discussion Fora and a number of training courses. Full details on these events are provided as they fall due. It is hoped that all events will be successful and well attended.
Members are also welcome to physically visit the Institute’s well-stocked reference library. Students and bank employees have all found this library as a useful source of information. The Institute is also open to receiving any suggestions that may help improve its services to its members.
